Understanding Vaporizers And Alternative Smoking Products

For many people, vaping has become an alternative to smoking tobacco products. The number of new products on the market for vaporing is growing pretty fast, and understanding it can be a bit confusing be there are some basic things that can help you figure it out.

Vaping and How It Works

Vaping is similar to smoking, but instead of inhaling smoke, you are inhaling vape liquid, sometimes called e-juice, after it has passed through a heated coil that turns it into a vapor. The vapor can carry things like flavors, nicotine, and CBD (cannabidiol) into the lungs where they are absorbed, and the vapor is then exhaled.

Common vape liquids use propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin and water to create the vapor. Often there are food grade colorings and flavors that are added and, of course, things like nicotine or CBD. The percentage of the ingredients is different depending on the vape juice and the company manufacturing it, so you may have to try a few different brands and mixtures to find your favorites.

Vaporizers and Mods

There are many different kinds of vaporizers on the market, so you have a lot of options to choose from. The traditional e-cigarette style vaporizer is small and straightforward to use. Many are disposable, so you use it, then toss it and get another. There are also small units that use a cartridge that has juice in it, and you can change the cartridge when you want something different in your vape.

Larger vape mods are popular as well and are a box that has the batteries and controllers in it. A tank is put onto the mod that holds the vape juice and the coil that vaporizes the liquid or juice. For heavy vape uses, the tank offers then more capacity for juice, and the tanks are refillable, so when it gets low, more juice can be added. There are many styles of vape mods on the market, so it is a good idea to visit a vape shop for help choosing one for your needs.

E-Juices and Coils

The coils that vaporize the juice in your vape will only last for about a week or two, depending on how much you use it. The coil uses a cotton wicking material to pull in the juice, and over time it becomes saturated and starts to detract from the flavor of the juice.

The juices are so varied that you could try a different juice weekly and never try them all. Find a flavor you like or go into the vape shop and see what they recommend. Some shops even have disposable tanks with juice in them so you can try different ones and find one you enjoy. Learn more about vape supplies today.
